Global ETFs saw net inflows of USD80.28 billion in May
The global ETFs industry gathered net inflows of USD80.28 billion during May, bringing year-to-date net inflows to USD417.87 billion, according to ETF data providers ETFGI.
During May, assets invested globally in the ETFs industry increased by 1.0 per cent, from USD9.36 trillion at the end of April to USD9.46 trillion.
Assets of USD9.46 trillion invested in the global ETFs industry at the end of May 2022. Assets invested globally increased by 1.0 per cent in May but have decreased 7.9 per cent YTD, going from USD10.27 trillion at end of 2021 to USD9.46 trillion.
Net inflows in May were strong at USD80.28 billion.
YTD net inflows of USD417.87 billion are the second highest on record, after YTD net inflows in 2021 of USD572.36 billion.
There have been USD1.14 trillion in net inflows gathered in the past 12 months. The global ETFs industry has had 36th months of consecutive net inflows. Equity ETFs and ETPs listed globally saw USD35.62 billion in net inflows in May 2022.
