The UK’s Hargreaves Lansdown launches ETF research

UK financial services firm Hargreaves Lansdown’s research team has expanded its coverage to include ETFs as well as trackers, and actively managed funds and investment trusts.

 

The ETF research will be led by passive fund analyst Alex Watkins supported by the Senior Research Team including Kate Marshall and the ETF research will include analysis on ESG integration, process and performance.

Emma Wall, Head of Investment Analysis and Research at Hargreaves Lansdown says: “I am extremely pleased to confirm that we have launched exchange traded funds research for our clients.

“In response to client demand, and industry developments, as well as market-leading insights on actively managed funds and investment trusts, we are expanding our coverage of passively managed trackers, and this week have launched research coverage of ETFs. The research covers the same key areas as for all our collective analysis; the people, process, ESG integration, culture, price and performance of ETFs. Alex Watkins and Kate Marshall lead the research coverage, supported by our internal investment risk, quantitative analysis and product governance teams.

 

“The first four research updates were published this week, with the remainder rolled out through the coming months. This is an exciting step in developing our research processes to meet the emerging needs of our growing client base.”

 

ETFs under research coverage at the moment include: iShares PLC Core FTSE 100 UCITs; Vanguard FTSE 250; SSGA SPDR FTSE UK All Share UCITS; Vanguard FTSE Developed Asia Pacific ex Japan; Vanguard Funds plc FTSE Emerging Markets UCITS; Vanguard FTSE Developed Europe ex UK; Vanguard FTSE All-World; Vanguard funds plc S&P 500 UCITS; Vanguard FTSE Japan UCITS; iShares core GBP Corporate Bond and Vanguard UK Gilts
