Global ETF launches for 7th to 14th October

Themes have dominated again in a week that was quiet on the ETF launch front. ETF Securities used Frankfurt-based index provider Solactive for their hydrogen ETF, with Solactive telling us that hydrogen, the most plentiful element in the entire universe, plays a crucial role in cutting carbon emissions.

Other themes covered this week are a not for profit ETF from Simplify, which is donating all the profits from its PINK ETF to a leading breast cancer charity, and we have four new thematic ETFs from Fidelity in the US. These four span the thematic range from Fidelity Clean Energy ETF (FRNW), to Fidelity Cloud Computing ETF (FCLD), Fidelity Digital Health ETF (FDHT), and Fidelity Electric Vehicles and Future Transportation ETF (FDRV).

WisdomTree has launched the unhedged version of its Enhanced Commodity ex-Agriculture ETF, based on an index that provides a broad and diversified commodity exposure, covering Energy, Industrial Metals and Precious Metals, including Platinum and Palladium. Finally, VanEck has launched the VanEck Morningstar ESG Moat ETF (CBOE: MOTE), the newest addition to the firm’s lineup of moat investing ETFs.
