European ETF assets by end of August had beaten last year’s full record
ETFs listed in Europe reached record assets while net inflows at the end of August have beaten last year’s full record says ETF data providers ETFGI.
The net inflows into ETFs and ETPs listed in Europe were USD12.07 billion during August, bringing year-to-date net inflows to USD139.42 billion which is USD19 billion greater than the full year 2020 net inflows of USD119.93 billion and USD14 billion more than the record USD125.18 billion net inflows gathered in 2019.
Assets invested in the European ETFs/ETPs industry have increased by 2.1 per cent, from USD1.51 trillion at the end of July, to a record USD1.54 trillion. There has been USD199.3 billion in net inflows gathered in the past 12 months, and assets have increased 20.2 per cent YTD in 2021, going from USD1.28 trillion at end of 2020, to USD1.54 trillion, after 17 month of consecutive net inflows.
