Grayscale hires Alerian’s LaValle as global head of ETFs

Grayscale Investments, the world’s largest digital currency asset manager, has hired Dave LaValle as Global Head of ETFs.

The firm writes that this is a newly created position and is a direct extension of the firm’s commitment to transparency, responsible growth, and converting its family of products into ETFs.

In this new role, LaValle will work to meet investor demand for single asset trusts and diversified funds while also creating the future of digital currency-based ETFs. Additionally, Grayscale just announced the launch of Grayscale Advisors, RIA that will build upon the existing product line-up to ensure that investors have a secure, transparent, and familiar way to deploy capital.

LaValle has more than 20 years of experience across the entire ETF landscape. He is the former CEO of Alerian and S-Network Global Indexes and also served as US Head of SPDR ETF Capital Markets. LaValle led Nasdaq’s Exchange Traded Product Marketplace where he was responsible for all aspects of strategy and business development for Nasdaq’s ETP listing and trading businesses.
