Global ETF launches 8.7.21 to 15.7.21
A busier week in ETF launch land has brought a range of specialist and thematic ETFs. Dawn Global, a newcomer to the ETF world, has launched an active and thematic ETF focused on the emerging and frontier markets, particularly the hard to invest in ones, including Vietnam and Bangladesh.
Invesco has been busy in Europe and the US, launching an ESG high yield corporate bond ETF in Europe, a range of multi-factor ETFs in the US, which have already attracted assets of USD1 billion.
Value Partners Asset Management launched the first Shariah China A-Shares 100 ETF, on the Malaysia Bourse this week, designed to provide investors with exposure to Shariah-compliant stocks within the China A-Shares equity universe.
And commodities, which seem to be a popular sector at the moment, have seen an addition to their ranks with WisdomTree’s launch of an enhanced commodity ex-agriculture ETF, designed to avoid food-based exposure, which some investors feel causes price volatility in food.
The week closed with the launch of three thematic ETFs from Global X in the US offering exposure to hydrogen, food technology and blockchain, while the Catholic church’s followers have now got their own faith-based ETF, invested in line with their values by Faith Investor Services, LLC, in partnership with the Knights of Columbus Asset Advisors.
