Global X Funds lists three ETFs on Colombian stock exchange
Global X Funds is listing three ETFs on Bolsa de Valores de Colombia, the Colombian stock exchange.
This marks the first time that a foreign ETF is listed on the Colombian exchange.
The three ETFs are the Global X FTSE Colombia 20 ETF (GXG), the Global X Guru Index ETF (GURU), and the Global X SuperDividend ETF (SDIV).
GXG is one of six Latin America-based ETFs from Global X Funds and was the first to offer investors access to the Colombian markets.
GURU, which aims to provide access to investment ideas generated by some of the top hedge funds, surpassed USD100m in August and has since reached close to USD300m in assets.
SDIV, with close to USD800m in assets, tracks the highest dividend-paying equity securities across global markets.
"This is yet another exciting innovation for Global X Funds," says Bruno del Ama, chief executive officer. "After extensive work with Colombian regulators and the Colombian stock exchange, we are proud to be the first foreign issuer to bring ETFs to Colombian investors."
Global X Funds also has several ETFs listed on Bolsa Mexicana de Valores, the Mexican stock exchange.
