Actively-managed exchange-traded fund specialist AdvisorShares is planning to launch four gold ETFs, according to paperwork filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The first fund in the filing, the AdvisorShares International Gold ETF, will invest in other exchange-traded products that invest in the international gold market, including the other three proposed ETFs in the AdvisorShares filing: Gartman Gold/Yen ETF, Gartman Gold/British Pound ETF and Gartman Gold Euro ETF.

As their names suggest, these three ETFs will all draw on the investment expertise of Dennis Gartman, and will offer exposure to gold prices denominated in Japanese yen, sterling or euros.
