Asia Pacific ETP AUM remains near all-time highs

Assets under management of Asia Pacific exchange-traded products decreased by USD0.5bn last week and ended at USD115.7bn, according to figures released by Deutsche Bank.

On a year-to-date basis, Asia-Pacific ETP market is up by USD24.2bn or 26.4 per cent above last year’s closing.

Asia Pacific ETP turnover totalled USD5.5bn for last week, 24 per cent down from the previous week’s total.

South Korea continued to be on top of the turnover ranking with USD2.2bn, followed by China (USD1.5bn), Hong Kong (USD1bn), Japan (USD0.5bn), and Taiwan (USD0.2bn).

Among equity ETFs, emerging country, leveraged strategy, Asia Pacific developed country, and short strategy ETFs had total turnover of USD2.6bn, USD1.1bn, USD0.8bn, and USD0.7bn respectively. Under the commodity asset class, turnover in gold ETPs totalled USD40m for the last week.
